A merry Christmas to everyone!

TibEd v1.52 is now available for download. It contains support for the Yuri v1.001 patch and adds support for editing Emperor: Battle for Dune. From this version on, the Emperor editor will be included in the standard download (after a poll on the website a few weeks ago).
What's new:
- Emperor: Battle for Dune editor (beta)
- Yuri's Revenge patch 1.001 supported
- String editing now works for Yuri's Revenge
- Cloning Art.ini entries for Red Alert 2 & Yuri should now work
- TibEd will now use the Windows XP themed scrollbars
- Emperor editor is now small enough to be in standard distribution because of RFD reading by Scorpio9a.
- BUGFIX: Game folder auto-detection fixed under Windows 2000 & XP
- BUGFIX: The shareware version will work now under Windows XP
- BUGFIX: TibEd no longer gives Runtime Error 52 when game folder is invalid, but asks for a new one instead.
If you have an older version installed, you can download the upgrade.
If you're new to TibEd, you can download the full version.
Have fun!

Westwood has released an update for Yuri's Revenge which fixes a lot of problems with the game, but it does create some difficulty for TibEd. As such, the TibEd FileBag feature does not work anymore for Yuri's Revenge as of v1.001 due to changed file handling of the game. The game data files for the units have also been updated.
An update of TibEd will be released soon to correct these issues created by the 1.001 patch. This update will also fix some problems on computers running Windows XP.

Last weekend, while I was away, the download script reset and all files went offline. Monday, I repaired the script, but accidently made the downloads point to v1.5 instead of v1.51!
If you downloaded TibEd since Monday October 29th, please make sure if you have v1.51 installed, because this version is much more stable than v1.5. If you did download v1.5, you can download a patch to v1.51.
Sorry for any problems this might have caused for you.
Koen
After 4 days of TibEd v1.50, a new version is here to replace it: TibEd v1.51. It contains some important bugfixes (which improve stability and reduce problems) to the Yuri's Revenge editor.
What's new:
- Names added for Yuri's Vehicles and Buildings
- BUGFIX: Yuri's Revenge folder now correctly detected
- BUGFIX: Yuri's Revenge can now be launched properly from TibEd
- BUGFIX: Cameos for Yuri's Revenge now work properly for RA2 units
- BUGFIX: Runtime Error 5 fixed (problem with comment handling)
- BUGFIX: Read-only files now handled properly
- BUGFIX: Plugins now work in Windows 2000
If you have an older version installed, you can download the upgrade.
If you're new to TibEd, you can download the full version.
Now, I'm trying to finish Mission 5 of the Soviets... so I'm a bit busy the rest of the evening ;)
Koen
TibEd v1.5 is now available for download. It has a beta version of the Yuri's Revenge editor inside. The Red Alert 2 and Tiberian Sun editors are also part of the standard download.
What's new?
- Beta Yuri's Revenge support. Not everything is up to date yet!
- UpdateCheck: looks on the TibEd website if there are any new versions available.
- Red Alert 2 country names are now the same as ingame names
- Red Alert 1 editor updated (together with sound add-on): can now extract speech from inside the game.
- CSF String Editor updated to support Yuri's Revenge
- BUGFIX: TibEd can now scan for filenames it does not yet know inside MIX files
- BUGFIX: Under Windows 2000, the shareware delay could give problems.
The Red Alert 1, Dune 2000, C&C '95 and Emperor editor modules are available from the download page.
Please report any problems in the Forum.
Koen
The next version of TibEd, with Yuri's Revenge support (beta), will be released Thursday. It's currently being polished.
Other news: The XCC Home Page is back online after long downtime. Visit http://xccu.sf.net for the latest XCC Utilities (with Yuri support).
Koen
In the United States and Canada, Yuri's Revenge has started shipping today. I'm just being told by Ben Lankamp that it should be available worldwide at the end of the week.
I do not have to game yet (I live 'worldwide'). I will release an editor once I have the game myself and have performed testing.
Don't forget to vote for the poll! Look at the left side of the screen, under the navigation bar.

I've just installed a poll system. Look at the left, under the navigation bar.

It appears that Yuri's Revenge may be delayed yet again. Steve from Red 2 World has asked Delphi a question regarding rumours of a new release date of the 26th of October.
Steve: Can you confirm that the release date for Yuri's Revenge in the UK is now Friday 26 October 2001?Aargh! This is very bad. I'm going to release a new version of TibEd before Yuri's Revenge's now instead of a few days after. I just can't wait any longer. But what is the new version if you leave out Yuri's Revenge? Oh well I'll see.
Delphi: Due to delays in manufacturing, the game won't hit store shelves until the 19th. =( Of course this depends on the retailer.

Today I played my first game of Red Alert 2 since the WTC attack. After the attack, I lost interest in the game, because it became a bit too real for me. Now, 17 days later, I've played it again, and I came to realize that I will have to move on with normal life again.
Don't get me wrong - thousands people might never be able to get back to the lives they led before the attacks ever again. I'm just saying that I am. I'll start working again on TibEd - an updated editor for Yuri's Revenge will be released once the game is out.
If I let terrorists block my normal way of life, they win, because then they'll have destroyed my freedom.
I wish strength to those who have lost friends, family and enemies during the attacks. Such inhumane acts must never be repeated ever again - to anyone, regardless of their race or beliefs.
Koen
The above says it all: Due to repackaging of Yuri's Revenge (different box art because of the WTC terrorist attack), the expansion will be delayed until the middle of October.
Koen
The story about stores pulling back RA2 below is wrong, those were just some wild rumors.
On the possible delay of the upcoming Red Alert 2 expansion (scheduled street date was 28 September), Westwood hasn't decided yet. They might change the box art. Instead of panicking about rumors, it's better to sit back and wait for an official statement from Westwood Studios.
Koen
On CNCNZ I read that in Germany, Yuri's Revenge will be delayed due to recent events in the United States. An understandable decision, due to the nature of the game. There are also reports about shops pulling back RA2 from the shelves, because of the intro movie.
These steps won't bring anyone back, but they are a gesture, just like the 3 minutes of silence in Europe today.
In case you feel like talking, or have questions about TibEd, you can use the forum.
Koen
Dreadful news from America. Is this a Red Alert 2 scenario!?!?!?
I will pray for the thousands of victims.
This is a sad day in the world history.
Koen
Here's a draft of part 1 of the TibEd guide - it covers TibEd basics. Click here to view it.
If you have any comments on this guide feel free to tell me.

A new version of the Command & Conquer Windows 95 edition editor is now available: beta 2. This version adds support for building editing. The download link has been updated, when you download you get beta 2, even though it still says beta 1 on the download page - I will change this soon.
Download C&C 95 editor module beta 2.
Now I really must get back on writing that guide ;)
Koen
Just read on RAX that Yuri's Revenge has gone gold. That means the final production discs have been created and the game is now being manufactured. A worldwide release is expected on September 25th.
Koen
I've answered all e-mail. Starting next week, I'm hoping to start releasing a series of guides 'Using TibEd', with a new part every week. If you have any ideas for such a guide, mail me.
It seems the 'warnings' below about the Emperor editor are a bit overstated. At this moment, I haven't heard about any big problems with the editor, except for the lack of buildings editing. At the end of this month, there should be new versions available of the Emperor and C&C'95 editors.
The forum is open in case you have any questions!

Holiday
I'm away on holiday for the next 3 weeks. I will be unavailable to answer e-mail or process any orders. Users who order TibEd during my holiday will receive their unlock codes as soon as I return on the 20th of August.
Forum
During my absence, the new forum can be used for support questions.
Emperor editor
It's here - alpha 1. However, there are several important issues with this editor:
- It contains a major flaw which could break the veterancy system in Emperor. If you ever want to get rid of your changes (and restore Emperor to it's original state), you can choose "Remove changes from game" from the File menu in TibEd. This will restore your game back to the original state.
- It's completely unsupported because it hasn't been tested properly yet. Do not e-mail for support about the Emperor editor or feature requests, they will be ignored. I know this editor can barely do anything.
- You can only edit a small part of the units.
- The 'friendly' unit names aren't used yet, instead, identifiers are used. This was because a lack of time.
- Only use this editor for quick editing of the game, it is not designed to create mods with.
- You need to have TibEd installed in order to use it.
- Don't expect any updates soon, because of my holiday. Because of some major problems with this editor, it's future development depends on whether these problems can be solved.

TibEd v1.4 is ready. The new plugin system is a very big new thing, which allows you to edit strings, voxels and hva's from within TibEd. The string editor is very handy when you want to change the name of units in Red Alert 2.
If you already have TibEd installed, you can download the update to the new version.
Otherwise, use this link: Download TibEd v1.4
If you want to download the plugins or editor modules for other games, have a look at the download page.
A longer list of what's new:
- New plugin system: integration with voxel editor and HVA editor
- New string editor for Red Alert 2 (to change unit names)
- Sidebar icons and sounds are now directly extracted from the game (for RA2 and TS)
- New game supported: Command & Conquer: Windows 95 edition (beta editor is on the download page)
- Some 'hidden' updates for an upcoming Emperor: Battle for Dune editor
- Bugfix: Tiberian Sun sound addon works again (no need for seperate addon anymore)
- Bugfix: FireOnce option in Red Alert 2 editor had an incorrect default
- Bugfix: Runtime Error 13 in InitLogoForm has been fixed
- Bugfix: Temporary files are now cleaned up better
- Bugfix: Error handling repaired in some places
- Bugfix: OCX's not installed should no longer occur (was a bug in the installer)
- Other fixes which repair rare bugs

During the past few days, the download server for TibEd was down. Because this server won't be back up until mid next-week, I decided to upload TibEd elsewhere. The links on the right side of the screen now work again.
Sorry for the inconvience,
Koen
Just a quick post. TibEd.Net is now officialy affiliated with CNCNZ.Com.
I'm also working on writing some guides on how to use TibEd, so please stay tuned if you're waiting for those :)
I'm also considering installing a new forum. If you have any suggestions or you like a specific forum very much (Ikonboard or XCC Forum or another one), mail me, because I haven't quite decided yet on which one I'll use.

Firstly, version 1.32 has been released, I advise anyone who has TibEd currently installed to upgrade to this new version. I've fixed problems with saving to maps and the FileBag is now also available for the Tiberian Sun. Also, there are quite some bug fixes.
Secondly, TibEd can edit 4 games (Dune 2000, Red Alert 1, Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2). If you haven't registered yet, now is the time to do so, because registering TibEd costs just $11.99. The TibEd shareware version is free to download, there are no advertising banners and TibEd is fully functional. You can fully test TibEd for 30 days, after which there is a delay at the start.
To download TibEd v1.32, click here.
If you already have TibEd v1.3 or v1.31 installed, you can download this much smaller patch which will update your version to v1.32. If you have an older version, you can download the upgrade.
Here's the full list of changes for this version:
- FileBag now works for Tiberian Sun too
- FileBag has been integrated in the section tree
- Editing the Kirov, Nighthawk or Rocketeer no longer causes art problems
- Saving to maps created by FinalAlert no longer crashes TibEd
- Possible corruption problem with saving to maps fixed
- Dune 2000 editor now warns if values are too big when applying to game
- FileBag preview now properly cleans up it's temporary file
- and finally, an updated version of the installer is now used.
I just fixed a few layout issues with Netscape on the website, it should look better now.
Also, the Top 100 buttons have been moved to the bottom of the page, because they were slowing down the loading time of the page.

Happy Easter everyone!
Here's the "Easter" release: TibEd v1.31. A quick list of what's new:
- Red Alert 2 editor updated: Interface editing added for the entire Rules.ini
- You can now remove items from lists
- TibEd interface now also available in Dutch!
- AutoRecovery: If TibEd crashes, most of your work is saved
- New NSIS installer (which saves you 150 Kb of downloading)
- Tiberian Sun, Dune 2000 and Red Alert 1 editors have all been updated
- BUGFIX: BuildLimit (in both RA2 and TS) should no longer cause problems
- BUGFIX: New dropdown lists: They no longer crash if a list has more than 520 entries (TibEd crashed when importing some mods)
- New website: https://www.tibed.net. Update your bookmarks!
That's right, you can now upgrade to TibEd Professional for just $9.99 until April 30th! You support our future work on TibEd, receive free tech support, e-mail notification of the latest version and free upgrades to all future versions, which'll probably edit the upcoming Red Alert 2 expansion, Yuri's Revenge!
Click here to order TibEd Professional now for just $9.99 instead of $11.99!
You may have noticed some website outages in the past few weeks, which occured because our previous host decided they didn't want to host us anymore. In the meantime we've moved to our own domain and our new host. From now on, the TibEd website is reachable under https://www.tibed.net
Please update your bookmarks!
The viewing bugs with Internet Explorer have been resolved, and some other minor layout issues have been fixed, too.
Only the installation of a new forum is left now, but it's been giving me some problems. That's why I've decided not to install a new forum right now, but to work on the next version of TibEd instead.
Koen
It appears most of the new site now works correctly. I just have to update some page content, fix a viewing bug concerning Internet Explorer (it works fine in Opera): the navigation bar gets incredibly high with large pages.
The www.tibed.net domain should work properly now, if not, let me know, but if you're having problems, you can't see this. A little paradox :)
Koen
Well, as you can see, Newspro is working. However, there appear to be some problems with the nameservers around the world, not everyone gets to this page yet when they enter the www.TibEd.Net link. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
At this moment, PHP isn't enabled on the server yet, so the site has some layout issues. I'm hoping to resolve it soon.
I think TibEd v1.31 will be released this weekend.
Koen
You may have noticed... The TibEd website was offline for a while: Our previous host suddenly decided to terminate hosting of the TibEd website. Because of that, we had to move to our own domain earlier than anticipated. As you can see, the 'old' website hasn't been fully replaced with a new design yet (don't know where I'm going to put the counters & e-mail :)
The next version TibEd should hopefully be released around Easter. (if I can get Newspro and a forum to work...)
PS: The rest of the news is gone right now. It'll be posted in an archive once the Newspro script is set up properly.
